Robotics

About Us
The Barnes Robotic Club is called the FIRST Lego League. The team is made up of 6-8 students who use Legos to build a specific obstacle course. Students then build a robot and program the robot to move throughout the obstacle course completing various tasks. Students research and present on a topic surrounding that year's theme which changes each year. After 8 weeks or so students go to a competition and compete with other schools/groups to see how efficient their robots are at completing the course within 2 minutes.

The Gentlemen's Society

Sponsor: Curtis Brown | [email protected]

About Us
The Gentlemen's Society began as an opportunity to help young men learn leadership skills, life skills, and conflict resolution skills. In, 22-23 SY,  10 young men were nominated by teachers to be members of the group. They participated in at least 13 weeks of leadership curriculum. Then, the club sponsored a flower bed to clean up and use as a service learning project. The students planted the flowers and have been maintaining the area since. The Gentlemen's Society capped of the year with a day out of school at the Tulsa Drillers ballpark.
